Church Organist
Westminster Presbyterian Church • www.wpcajax.org
3722 Belfort Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 • Phone 904-737-5133
We are seaching for a church organist for Westminster Presbyterian Church, in the Southside area. We are a conservative congregation looking for a musician who can join us in affirmation of faith in Christ Jesus and in rendering to God the worship He deserves from a classical Reformed tradition. We sing hymns and Psalms almost exclusively, and need not so much a performer as a servant who can lead a gathering of a hundred or so people who love to sing.
The opportunity for coordinating special music is present as there are several in the church who have outstanding musical gifts when called upon.
The salary is negotiable, in part, because we have a Sunday evening service and the job description can be fitted to the gifts of the applicant. Our last
organist did not attend the evening worship and a pianist can suffice there if needed.
The duties, except for practice times, are limited to Sunday only. We have no choir.
Those interested in the church can find more information at www.wpcajax.org.
Contact Pastor Steve Jennings at 904-737-5133.
